Audiobooks

I listen to audiobooks at night to help me fall asleep. Not because they are boring or uninteresting but because I have tried a number of things to try and stop my anxious, racing thoughts at night (including various medications herbal and otherwise). Nothing helped except concentrating on a good story with a good narrator. React posts highlight the things that stayed with me or really stood out about the book over a course of nights.

The Last Hour Between Worlds (Final Review)

Many things go into what makes a book great and it's rare that all of those things converge ... with The Last Hour Between Worlds, though, they do.

A Whisper of Death by Darcy Burke

"Briskly paced and sharply plotted, with smart, compelling characters and an intriguing psychic twist ..." says Amanda Quick. She's not wrong.

Empire Of Shadows by Jacquelyn Benson

I love characters like Ellie Mallory. Her goal isn't to get the guy, it's to save the world from bad people. If she gets the guy too, bonus. This isn't a strictly heteroerotic novel. It's an adventure.

Cavendish & Walker Volume 2

DCI Whitney Walker and Forensic psychologist, Dr. Georgina Cavendish are two emotionally dysregulated, therapy needing women who also solve crimes together.

Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli

Gross and tone deaf fantasy about a woman falling in love with the equivelent of a Nazi who hunts and kills women who are witches. This stuff isn't hot or romantic.

Cavendish & Walker Volume 1

DCI Whitney Walker and Forensic psychologist, Dr. Georgina Cavendish couldn't be more different but these two headstrong women make a great team.

The Seven by Robyn Delvey

New to the job and with everything to prove, Crown Prosecution Service lawyer Eve Wren is working on the biggest UK trial in decades. The first book in the thrilling Eve Wren series

The Haunting of Hecate Cavendish by Paula Brackston

The Haunting of Hecate Cavendish is book one in New York Times bestselling author Paula Brackston's new magic-infused series about an eccentric and feisty young woman who can see ghosts.

The Last Hour Between Worlds by Melissa Caruso

A whip-smart adventure fantasy packed with reality-bending magic, and sapphic romance, The Last Hour Between Worlds is a brilliant new series.

LightLark by Alex Aster

"BookTok phenomenon and award-winning author Alex Aster delivers listeners a masterfully written, utterly gripping YA fantasy novel." Yeah whatever. Suzy Jackson reads the shit out of this!
